Following your school tour, you may book an appointment to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with assistance from a school representative. By submitting the FAFSA, you will be applying for a Pell Grant and student loans.
The amount of aid you are eligible to receive is based on the course selected and information you provide regarding your financial circumstances. If grants and loans taken out in the student’s name do not cover the full cost of attendance, parents of dependent students may use the FAFSA to apply for a federal Parent PLUS Loan for the remaining balance.
If the application for a Parent PLUS Loan is denied it allows the student to qualify for independent loan limits. Otherwise, you may apply for a private loan or arrange to make payments through an installment plan.
We are also able to work with students who are eligible for funding through the department of Veteran’s Affairs, the Department of Rehabilitation, and the Sacramento Employment Training Agency.
For further information or inquiries, visit the FAFSA website and call to speak with a HLA representative about setting up a Financial Aid appointment.
