Become an Esthetician at Hoss Lee Academy

The esthetics course covers all technical and practical subjects of Skin Care as prescribed by the criteria set forth by the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology

Our curriculum includes subject areas such as Manual, Chemical, and Electrical Facials, Eyebrow Arching and Waxing, Body Waxing, and Make-up Theory and Application. Students will learn advanced Face Treatments such as Chemical and Enzyme Exfoliations, Acne and Anti-Age Treatments, Microdermabrasion, Eyelash Lifts/Perms, and Eyelash/Eyebrow Tinting.

Strategic partnerships with Dermalogica®, Spa Girl®, Cirepil®, RefectoCil® and Kryolan® provide our students advanced education on the latest procedures and spa techniques.

Our students are also given several opportunities per year to participate in local theatrical productions, fashion shows and community service events that will help them learn the art of Special FX makeup, theatrical hair styling, wig making and artificial beard laying.

Additionally, all esthetics students rotate through an HLA exclusive business training course for salon and spa professionals in order to be equipped to succeed in the business aspect of the industry

We do our absolute best to ensure our students are very well prepared and confident when they go take their licensing examination

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Diploma, Proof of Training Document, and be qualified to take the California State Board examination for Esthetics

The California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology will issue a state license upon successfully passing the required written exam.

I Just left the Hoss Lee Academy Spa where I received their NEW 60 Min. Hydrojelly Facial, and it was Ahhh-mazing!!! My Esthetician was Katelyn L. She took the time to do a proper skin care analysis and kindly addressed any concerns I had with my skin.... from the Deep Cleanse, exfoliation, and relaxing shoulder massage to the Hydrojelly Mask (mine was the Skin Warrior anti-aging).

Everything was top-notch! Katelyn was extremely thorough, allowing me to be confident in the service I was receiving.... making for a very relaxing experience. I walked out with beautiful, glowing skin, and I can't wait to go back! Can't recommend Katelyn, the new Hydrojelly facials, and this experience enough!!! I'll definitely be back and try the Microdermabrasion, as well as other spa services offered!
